Nordkapp

After getting a little "tired" of Norwegian fjords, we decided to go to the Nordkap via Sweden and (a little of) Finland. (Narvik > Kiruna, Sweden > Skaid, Norway)

The Nordkapp is a great experience. However, stone pilers are here also...

The last gas station is approx 80 km before the Nordkapp. So fuel up in time. Or have a support vehicle with you and enough fuel. (Like we did). Especially if the fuel tank of your motor bike has only  10 liters capacity.

To give you an impression of the great drive, some more pictures:

150km north of our quarter we reach the Nordkapp:

Skipper is satisfied with the progress. But from now on he has to swim. Or capture a ship to get to the North Pole.

The Nordkapp station is quite big. A Restaurant and Cinema showing the nature / seasons.
As small Thai museum dedicated to the Thai king who was here for several months.

And a light cave....

And of course the famous globe:

This is how it looks like outside:

For smartasses: The Nordkapp is not exactly the most northern pint of Europe.
But the best accessible one,
E.g. the neighbor land use is reaching out a few more meters to the north.
Al lot of pictures of the Nordkapp are made from there:

And it's never too north for fun :-)

Again, the scenery is great up there.
And different if you drive the way back to the south:

Electric mono wheels have reached Nordkapp's locals:

Btw, you pass several tunnels. Around 7 km long.

The special thing is: They go 3-4 km down (-10% !) and 3-4 km up again (+10%).
Due to this, there can be fog inside of the tunnel.

Well, we reached one of our main objectives of our voyage. It's now time to go south again. (Via other countries....)

And the are even sand beaches close to the Nordkapp. Ok, too cold for swimming I think. ;-)
